with Lori (Bodhi) Edwards
Over the six weeks together, we will explore themes and movement to support awareness and self-care. Because we are many layered beings, our experiences are also felt in many ways at different times. Weekly themes or topics will be introduced as an way of sharing insights and learning more about how to move through grief and loss from a holistic perspective.
With a trauma-informed approach, Lori will facilitate topics ranging from acceptance, self to community to culture, paths of healing and recovery including relationship to time, expressing the pain of loss, remembering and ritual, and connection (with self and others).
Self-care will be woven in to each area and in everything we do.
This is for your whole being; body, mind and spirit.
Wherever you are along the path of grief and loss, I’ll meet you there.
No yoga experience required.
Sessions will consist of theme discussion followed by a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga experience that will include some gentle movement and some restorative yoga. You will have choice in everything you do, including laying down and resting for an hour.
Lori brings a wealth of education and experience in Mental Health and Trauma, including studies with the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute specific to Grief and Loss. It is Lori’s lived experience that is of greatest value, combining knowledge and experience that are felt in the depth of her compassionate presence.
Partial proceeds will be donated to The Sunshine Coast Hospice Society.
