Verena has been practicing since 2002 and teaching since 2009.
She completed teacher trainings in a variety of methods including Hatha, Power, Hot, Anusara and Restorative in search for a practice that hauls the inside out.
She has been wholeheartedly practicing and teaching through many of the aspects of the Vijnana Method (Vijnana co-founder Dona Hollman was a direct student to Iyengar) for 6 years now. Verena also has a deep connection to Pilates.
Verena has taught in Vancouver since 2009, taught in Singapore in 2011 to 2012 and has been teaching on the Sunshine Coast since 2014.
Her classes will speak to those who are interested in cultivating a strong, supportive and stable way of movement in the body. She is committed to teaching yoga as one of the means for healing the body, heart and mind. She encourages students to be discerning and moved by subtle action. You will be challenged to explore difficult arm balances, however, there are many creative modifications which make her classes totally accessible for all levels.
Verena is inspired by practitioners who are committed to their own growth and have an ability to re-approach foundation.
