This is AdiYogi, a 112 foot tall sculpture of Shiva, here at Isha, the Ashram and intentional community of Sad Guru in Southern India. The mysticism around Shiva is he was the first Yogi ever known from 10,000 – 12,000 years ago. He was Larger than life and from another world. God like! We will be celebrating Uttarayan on Dec. 21, the winter solstice festival in honor of Shiva and the 7 Rishis.
The Winter solstice is time for inner reflection, sadhana, or Jnana Yoga (the yoga of knowing the true self). Intention to plant seeds of transformation that will lead you beyond the limitations of your mind.
Be in light as the longest night gives us the more opportunity to shine the light within us out into the world and all around.
Soak in the fulfillment of the grace that has cleared your path. Open your heart to your self and others…….
your higher centres will be purified……..
now is the time for human consciousness to blossom.
Have a wonderful holiday season full of gratitude and love.
With deep appreciation and blessings from all of as Yoga by the Sea.
