Joseph Pilates named his movement system “Contrology”, believing that ones good health is within ones own control. Through his philosophy and system of exercises, we can rejuvenate and return our bodies to health and life from within, under the control of our own minds and willpower.
The focus will be on deepening the breath and finding more spinal flexibility, while increasing stamina and strength to balance the body, mind and spirit.
In this beginner oriented class, we will explore the basic principles and fundamentals of Pilates, learn the beginner Mat repertoire, and explore movement patterns that you will carry into your daily life.
All ages and all levels welcome.
