Jennifer May

Jenn has been a dedicated student of yoga since 2015, starting with a home practice and then attending hot hatha and vinyasa flow classes at Moksha (now Modo) Yoga in Burnaby for 2 years. She completed her 200 hour training with Hasu at Yoga by the Sea in 2018, and is currently enrolled in her 300 hour training. She has completed a 50-hour AIReal Yoga certification training with Carmen Curtis in Ventura, CA, and a 50-hour Blissology Yoga Mind-Body Medicine training with Eoin Finn in Ucluelet, BC. She enjoys attending Wanderlust events in Whistler, California, and Hawaii to assist AIReal and to learn from a variety of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness gurus. She has a dedicated home meditation and yoga practice, and is always seeking to deepen her practice through exploration and study.

Jenn has been a licensed pharmacist since 2005 and currently works as a clinical pharmacist at Sechelt Hospital. Recognizing that self-care is essential to health and longevity, she has pursued health coach training and has developed the practice of NutPharm Yoga to bring the principles of yoga and other lifestyle habits into medication management. She gives community presentations, holds workshops, and offers private coaching. Ultimately, she hopes to teach other health care professionals how to use self-care in their own lives and when treating their patients.

In her classes, Jenn draws upon the wisdom of Hasu, Yogi Amrit Desai, and her other teachers to help guide the student towards their own inner teacher. She also enjoys bringing her medical knowledge and her love of music into her teaching. In addition to teaching classes, she also supports the studio as a YTT Mentor, Administrative Assistant and Social Media Director.
