Katie is a Modo/Moksha certified yoga teacher. She combines the precision of therapeutic yoga and the foundations of traditional Hatha yoga and her classes are designed to be accessible to every body.
Katie discovered yoga when she was looking for a new physical practice, hoping to lose weight and become more fit. She will never forget the euphoria she felt after completing her first sweaty hot yoga class. She walked into the class in frustration and walked away from that class beaming with a sense of joy and inner peace.
Yoga has been a huge part of her life ever since and she strives to teach and introduce yoga to others as a way to spread the love and connect others with themselves and with their community.
In 2018, Katie completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, here at Yoga by the Sea. She has been a substitute teacher for the Hatha Flow classes at the studio ever since. In March 2019, she completed a 300 hour Modo Yoga Teacher Training Program in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador.
