Tai Chi

Tai Chi Chuan is an internal martial art that integrates all elements of fitness by promoting balance, flexibility, strength, endurance, posture, and breath.

Considered one of the most advanced forms of martial arts, Tai Chi does not depend on our physical strength, size, or technique but on our ability to be in a totally present, relaxed, yet aware state in which the life force or qi flows unobstructed throughout the body, mind, and heart (emotions). In this way, we can meet, join and direct whatever energy comes our way.

Tai Chi cultivates awareness, calmness of mind and presence in our bodies that yields great benefits in our everyday life.

At the Roberts Creek Tai Chi Association, we practice a Yang style based on the teachings of Master Cheng man-ch’ing and Master Sam Tam. The Association was founded by Sifu’s Brock and Laurie O’Byrne.

We welcome all inquiries.
