Directions From Vancouver

Take the 257 express bus, or 250 bus (slower) from downtown Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay.

Or drive the Upper Level highways to the ferry terminal.

Taking the Ferry

BC Ferries links Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast with a stunning 40 minute sailing. For current sailing times check BC Ferries website.

Please note that the ticket to Langdale is a return cost; there is no charge for leaving the Lower Sunshine Coast. There is also no cost for leaving the Lower Sunshine Coast at Earls Cove, on the way up to Powell River.

$$ saving hint: If your group ticket cost is going to be more than $75 (currently 3 adults plus a vehicle), or $40 (four foot passengers), you can save almost 25% by obtaining a BC Ferries Experience Card at the terminal, when you buy your ticket. It’s a charge card meant for locals, but anyone can get one, and you’ll save every time you use BC Ferries’ minor routes. Minimum pre-load amount is currently $95.
