Lama Geshe Sacred Sound of Tibetan Bon Chants 2026: Sacred Sound of Tibetan Bön Chants

Sacred Sound of Tibetan Bön Chants

A Three-Day Immersion with Geshe YongDong Losar

October 16–18, 2026
Yoga by the Sea | Roberts Creek, BC

Join us at Yoga by the Sea for a special three-day immersion into the sacred sound practices of the ancient Tibetan Bön tradition with Geshe YongDong Losar (Geshe-la).

Through mantra, sacred sound, meditation, ritual instruments, teaching, and practice, Geshe-la will share a traditional method of working with sound for healing and spiritual development. The weekend will offer a balance of lecture, experiential practice, and informal conversation, creating space not only to learn these teachings, but to experience them.

The Sacred Sound of Bön

Yungdrung Bön is an ancient spiritual tradition of Tibet and the Himalayas with an unbroken lineage that continues today.

During this immersion, Geshe-la will guide participants through five traditional mantra and sacred sound practices:

  • The Wisdom Loving Mother Mantra — sacred sounds cultivating the union of compassion and wisdom.
  • Five Warrior Seed Syllables — a practice connected with opening the five chakras.
  • Ancient Bön Healing Mantra — traditionally used for removing external, internal, and secret obstacles.
  • Song of the Five Elements — a mantra practice for balance and the rejuvenation of one’s energy.
  • Purification and Completion of the Three Doors — working with Body, Speech, and Mind to receive and dedicate merit.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn to play traditional Tibetan ritual instruments, including singing bowls, drums, and bells, as part of the practice.

Who Is This Weekend For?

You do not need to be Buddhist or have an established spiritual practice to participate.

This program is open to all spiritual paths and levels of experience, including those with an interest in breathwork, yoga, meditation, mantra, sacred sound, or contemplative practice.

Whether you are encountering Tibetan Bön teachings for the first time or looking to deepen an existing practice, this weekend offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from a respected teacher within this living tradition.
